The Latina/o Leadership Retreat is a 2-day retreat for the established leaders in the Latina/o community. We invite the top three ranking officers in each of the Latina/o organizations on campus to discuss the vision and initiatives of the community as a whole. We also focus on community and leadership development while including social justice training. The event takes place before classes begin in order for the community to start the year on the right foot. This year’s Latino Leadership Retreat will be held August 21-22, 2009, and will take place at Vintage Villas near Lake Travis. On Friday the 21st, we will meet at the MIC at 2:00PM to get everyone ready to take off. Applications will be sent out soon.
