LLC Events
The Latino Latino Leadership Council would like to thank all those who attended its annual Latino Latino Leadership Retreat this past August. The Retreat brought leaders of LLC organizations together for a weekend of planning, dialogue and collaboration. Thak you to the Community for a great kickoff to the 2008-2009 school year!
The Latino Leadership Council would also like to thank all those who attended its ninthth annual Sábado Gigante welcome event on August 28 at Gregory Gym. The goal of Sábado Gigante is to enhance the quality of new students' lives on campus by acquainting them with the campus, along with academic and community resources available to them. The day featured live entertainment, food, games, prizes, Latino Organizational fair, group discussions, and much more! Thank you for participating in this annual tradition!
The Latino Leadership Council would like to extend an invitation to the UT Community to its 6th Annual National Latino Leadership Summit on November 14th and 15th. The Latino Leadership Summit is the largest leadership conference for Latina/o students in the Southwest, drawing students from universities across the country and from high schools throughout Texas. Students will discuss issues related to higher education, the job market, and Latina/o culture.
